Also currently obsessed with Fred Armisten, since he came out and sang with my other currently obsession, Blur at the Hollywood Bowl last week Of course he sang one of my favorite songs Park Life, only he changed it to fit the LA setting, calling it Echo Park Life! Seriously funny stuff!

We bought a small firepit for our Tiny Little House housewarming last week and I loved using it. However it’s kind of boring, so I’m thinking of giving it a make-over. Here are a few that are inspiring me and some that are just out right fabulous!

Keep it Simple
I love tin cans, so when I bought a big can of beans for the Tiny Little House Housewarming, I knew I need to convert that baby into something useful.
At first I thought it would be a platter stand for the buffet. I considered painting it a metallic brass color.
I had some yellow duct tape…(I don’t know why, but yellow seems to be replacing my love for emerald-green). I taped off the can and viola! I decided I liked it AS IS. So it become a flower-pot. My trip to the 99 Cent store went well as I bought three plants which looked perfect. Add a little twine and here you go.
Total cost $3.00. (not counting the cost of beans..ya gotta have beans!).
Oh Lordy has it been a challenging couple of weeks! After all my attempts at careful planning regarding my move, the whole project ended up in complete chaos! Disarray abounds. I’m exhausted and thoroughly convinced I will never, ever, ever move again! EVER! So even though there are still piles of boxes and tons of unfinished projects (oh did I mention the 105 degree heat?), I am thrilled with my new little house! ❤ Since I can’t take wide shots if the place yet, because its not pretty, I still have made little spaces that help me feel like I’m home. Here are some vignettes!
Fresh roses from the garden.
This chicken follows me everywhere.
The bedroom was the first thing I put in order. I like the calming cool colors.
The garden is coming together. My O and H made the cut.
Do disco balls belong in a bathroom? Disco balls belong everywhere!
I decided the bathroom needed the calming Rothko knock off.
